Building manager doesnt seem to care anymore. Washing machines constantly breaking and leaking. When they do work, they leave gross residue on the clothes. Jose (building maintenance) is great and easy to work with.

I'm just coming up on my 1 year lease and will definitely be re-signing. The building is beautiful, with many of its original architectural details. Maintenance is quick to respond to any issue, big or small.

Nice community despite month to month, friendly staff, built like a vault like the old days, stagnant air on the backside of the building but what are you going to do about that, hate this bright light over the parking lot in the back but I get why its there for safety purposes, pretty femme but I generally enjoy that. Wish there was roof access but maybe not structurally sound for that. Wish there was a universal gym or some weights somewhere in the basement, like even in just a closet or something. Not ADA compliant but I'm sure grandfathered in. Love the handlaid tile in the foyer - you don't get that kind of thing anymore, labors too expensive.

It is a great location but the rent is too high for the amenities we are getting. I know people who live around this area that have gyms and rooftops in their building

We need new washing machines. They are old, constantly broken (they are never all working) and not properly maintained. At the minimum run a cleaning cycle with cleaning pods from anazon once a week. They get gross.

The best part about living at The Shawmut is knowing you have good neighbors that care about one another and our building. The sense of community is strong!
