The Eddystone is an older building, so there are not a lot of modern amenities, but the location can't be beat, and the staff are great. I'm happy living here.

People are pleasant and property staff are friendly. The location is great with groceries and convenience stores all around. There's access to a few bus stops as well. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. Please note that there is a subfloor before you get to the elevator and there is NO RAMP. So carrying and pushing/pulling big items or heavy groceries is a pain - you have to get up a few steps before reaching the elevator. Having a wagon or cart for those is also a challenge because no ramp is available to slide/push them through. Also, heating is centralized and it's not always on so you can go home to a cold cold apartment and you cannot adjust the temperature. No exhaust in the kitchen as well so managing smells while cooking can be difficult. These are just some things to consider before living here.

I'm now on my 3rd year about to start my 4th and things are the same. Ivonne and Elias continue to be stellar at taking care of residents. I did bring up with Ivonne last week that I'm not sure why the back courtyard area is not available to residents. I realize that maintenance vehicles use that space during the day but it would be great to have it available for residents in the evenings and weekends. A grill would be nice and along those lines - there's no access to a bathroom in the basement area. It'd be nice to have a bathroom when doing laundry, for example. Just a thought.

I've lived in the Eddystone for 2 years now and I still am amazed at my luck for finding this place. The price for the location is rare and the building staff is incredibly friendly and responsive. It's an older building but is well kept up and clean. I've only had minor maintenance requests and they are always responded to in a timely manner. I highly recommend this building to anyone considering it.

I have been living at Eddystone for more than 2 years. Pros: -Onsite manager Ivonne is the most wonderful person you could meet. She is amazing and so incredibly helpful. -Maintenace is very responsive and helpful -Hub locker for packages in the basement is convenient -Location is close to all of the metro lines -Very quiet street but close to nightlife -Within 0.5mi of multiple grocery stores and a hardware store -My neighbors are pleasant and normal -Location feels safe at all hours of the night Cons: -Laundry room is always super clean and they take apple pay, but over the past 8 months multiple machines will intermittently decline my card. Ive called my bank and it’s not an issue on mine or the bank’s end it’s just the card reader on the machine. This is more an issue with W C Smith because I have contacted them about it and they’re not responsive. -Have also contacted the management company in the past for concerns regarding the central heating and they were not responsive. Again not a fault of Eddystone. -No cons with Eddystone itself, I love it here.

The apartment is great but the price is pretty high for no HVAC, no common areas/outdoor space, no access to the dumpster, smoking is still allowed in the units (which is insane), no access to a computer/printer. I also live in a unit that faces the inner "courtyard" which is fine except when there's people working in the courtyard sawing and hammering. It's very disruptive especially for those that work at home but I get there's probably no where else to stage that. But the layout of the studio is unique and feels spacious even though it's small. I'm overall pretty satisfied with my experience here - I just think rent is a little high.
