Cheap, Greedy, Dirty
The reason that I moved out of the apartment was towards the end of my lease I was notified that if I wanted to stay there an additional year, I would have to pay an additional $300 per month. I know its normal for an apartment to raise your rent a little bit each year, but I have never had an apartment raise the rent by so much all at once. I made me feel that the apartment was taking advantage of the fact that I was living on the top floor of the apartment and that building didn’t have an elevator. The people who own gull harbor apartments also own Eagle Point apartments. When I first moved in, they had a building manager that would work in the apartment. Apparently, they found that it was too expensive to maintain an onsite building manager for both apartments. So instead, they got rid of the building manager at Gull harbor and if you needed something you would either have to call and hope someone picks up or you have to drive there. When the apartment made this change, this was not put out and because the building manager was the one that used to store the mail packages in their office this resulted in me not getting any of my packages delivered for two months. If you move in here expect to consistently have a problem with getting packages delivered, especially by FedEx. The apartment would routinely do maintenance on the power or plumbing and in order to do so they would cut it. The problem though was they would never tell anyone. I also kept having the problem where the drainpipe for the garbage disposal of the kitchen sink would pop out and shoot water everywhere. I once came back from vacation to find a note taped to my door saying they were going to be changing the keys and I would need to drive to their other apartment to pick up the
