An excellent rental at a reasonable price with only a few very minor inconveniences that are easily outweighed by the location. A few minor issues with the primary bedroom. The room is noticeably colder than the rest of the house, and it's unclear why that is. Initially, I had assumed that the wind was leaking in through the seals of the windows, though those seals were later sealed with additional insulation; unfortunately, the problem persisted. This isn't a particularly significant problem, I just wear an extra layer and have a blanket. The primary bedroom also doesn't have much lighting, though this was again easily solved with an additional room light. I think the only real nuisance is the lack of storage in the kitchen. There are three people here, and one has a dietary restriction and has to keep their food as separate as reasonably possible, so we need a lot of storage. The problem is that about half of the kitchen cabinets are either too narrow, not deep enough, or both simultaneously. This means that we haven't been able to store a lot up there. This could plausibly be solved by having a bit of storage either to the left of the refrigerator or in the laundry room. All of this is trivial compared to the huge convenience of being a 6-minute walk to Electric Boat and the low rent with roommates. This rental was easily the best choice for my internship.
