Mercantile Housing

I have lived here over 12 years but i have moved units in between, you can hear noise of neighbors but for the most part not to bad and location is great close to restaurants. bars and light rail station

I've been calling Mercantile Square Lofts my home for 8 years, and I still love being here! Being so close to Union Station means I dont need to bog myself down with a car, and I love how everything is within walking distance of my home. While the noise is a bit on the louder side, I can say that it hasn't bothered me all that much-- I expected as such when we're right off the 16th Street Mall! The maintenance and office here have been super helpful and extremely sweet every time I've needed their help, the response time is great! Most of all I appreciate that they offer affordable living here, as I would never be so lucky to get to call this great apartment complex my home otherwise, and am thankful for the opportunity! I love it here, and hope to be here for many more years to come!

I’ve been here since 96, so I suppose it says some thing about my comfort level living here. Pretty good maintenance and staffing the whole time. Some of the appliances are aging at least in my unit great place the neighborhood is coming back to what it was before pandemic, you get to downtown vibe all the pros and cons of that

I have lived here over 10 years great location lots of change. Parking is rough but is expected for living in the city. Staff has changed a lot over the years but does their best

The property has declined tremendously. The floor hallways resemble the conditions I have seen in Project apartments. The elevators are equally as bad. I know the maintenance staff does what it can but ultimately the property owner has the accountability to make a property desirable. I do not know if the property manager even walks through each area of the property every business day, or if she just relies on the reports from the maintenance staff. We have lived here over enough time to legitimately review the property. We live at the property because of the convenience of being at the location of the property. Security has improved drastically during the last year, and we know what the issues are with the property versus not knowing about issues at another property. Black mold is a major safety concern and to some degree manageable if maintenance was completed. I have completed a review of the property when prompted when logining in at the resident portal but either the review is not shared with the property owner or the review is ignored.

Mercantile lofts is a decent place to live. It is not fancy, but the building is very quiet and in central union station. Outside is very noisey and there is no parking, or a pool. No amenities but maintenance is usually on top of things. I have felt safe in here and people are nice.
