Overall, we have been very happy living at Stonegate Apartments since 2014. The staff is friendly and kind. The area is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. We are happy that the rent increases have not been too high when renewing the yearly lease (around $100-120 per month), unlike in the previous apartments (over a $200/month increase the second lease year!) I want to share a few suggestions for improvement in case the administration is reading this review. It would be great to have more guest parking. Each building could have a recycling dumpster (or at least a few more near several buildings). The only recycling dumpster I used for a while a few years ago was near an entrance too far from our apartment, and the trash opening was too high, making it difficult for me to dump the trash without the bag as required. These factors make it difficult for extremely busy people to recycle, so I got discouraged and stopped using it. Overall, the maintenance is good, but requests take a week or more sometimes to be solved (the previous administration used to be faster). We understand there are many apartments and we are patient, but service could be a little faster. The rent (close to $2,000 without additional fees) could be a little lower, considering that our very small one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment does not have anything special other than a nice view of the mountains. The bathroom should not have carpet, as it can get easily stained and wet with regular bathroom use, and cannot be quickly cleaned like other floor types. Carpets store a lot of hair, dust, and other particles easily, and I’m allergic to dust mites, microorganisms that grow by the millions on carpets and similar materials in homes. Areas to charge an electric car and wash cars would be awesome. These are not deal breakers, but things that could be improved in our humble opinion (my husband and I have talked about it), in case the administration reads and wants to consider them. I've lived here for, I think, 9 years. The front office staff is very patient, willing to listen to all residents' needs, and genuinely cares for making sure they're doing right by all of the residents and our needs. They are easy to communicate with. I feel safe here, and my neighbors and I look out for each other and hold others accountable for not following property rules, like smoking, or leaving pet waste on the ground, etc. I love the community, which is why I've lived here for so long. Great place to live with respectful, good neighbors who, together, make us all feel safe. :)
