During my tenancy, I encountered multiple billing and account-management issues that required significant follow-up to resolve. I maintained continuous renter's insurance coverage throughout the disputed period, yet $253.96 in Property Verification Insurance (PVI) charges were assessed to my account. Management acknowledged that insurance coverage existed but declined reimbursement because they did not have documentation showing receipt of the policy in their records following a change to their verification system. A major concern was transparency. These charges were not discovered until I requested a detailed account ledger near move-out. In a separate issue, more than $1,000 in pet rent charges were ultimately reversed after being identified and challenged. An additional $48.66 account credit also required follow-up before being refunded. I attempted to resolve these matters directly with management, filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and filed a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General's Office. The BBB ultimately closed the complaint as "No Response" after reporting that the property did not respond to its requests. My recommendation to future tenants is to regularly request detailed account ledgers and maintain copies of all documents and communications submitted to management.
