Noise and Building Maintenance
In building 3, there seems to be insufficient insulation between the upper and lower apartments as the floor is very cold in the Fall and Winter times, and we can hear the snoring, music and giggles of tenants below us. When removing an electrical plate in the back room for painting (over the summer) I felt cool air flowing out of the opening in the wall. Maintenance has been friendly and responsive to all our needs and requests, however there are some places around our building where signs of damage or wear have not been addressed. There are cracks in the floor and ceiling of the second level balcony near the stairs where water drips down when there is rain as well as being cosmetically unattractive. The hand rail of the stairs that descend to the lower-most parking area look to be mounted to the side of the building but the connection point is loose and hammers on the wall whenever tenants run down the stairs, the noise from which we hear throughout our apartment. We have not previously reported these issues to Maintenance. We will do so soon so they can be made aware.
