Best place to live.

Works very well for my family and me. There is just one miner issue with the lack of overhead lights in the living room and the bedroom because both areas also function as work areas. Lamp lighting is primitive, bothersome, and unidirectional and does not fill the entire room with enough light to properly illuminate things that are viewed or worked on. Overhead lighting should be used in all areas that function as work areas in addition to being just sleeping and lounging areas.

The location is ideal, accessible to landmarks like Six Flags, Solano Fairgrounds, In and Out Burger, Starbucks. The community is gated, when working it ensures safety of residents. Well lighted pedestrian gate, green and well maintained grounds. The office staff has been engaged with residents, sending messages or calling to inform us at times of packages left there. Laundry service highly improved with user friendly smart machines. The pool has reopened and we look forward to using it during the summer. It appears clean and securely maintained. Parking spaces were paved and improved, well lighted. The stairs have to be dusted, cleaned regularly and railings, while sturdy, need to be repainted. Regular upkeep replacement of fire and smoke detectors are ideal. With the RentCafe portal for requesting maintenance, it is now more accessible. When able or if parts needed are available the staff respond and act upon the requests. The sliding screen door to the balcony has finally been replaced. However, the blinds were promised replacement quite sometime ago. We can attest to the unit's efficient noise control, possibly to wall insulation, and as long time residents we are thankful that this is so. Franciscan Apartments has a long reputable tradition, and many Vallejo residents, describe it to be as picturesque, serene and artistically designed. As living spaces, it does stand out as compared with others. There is still room for improvement, as loyal long time residents, we look forward to more amenities. A community billboard would be ideal. A hall, indoor or covered meeting area for activities, birthday parties or family events might be considered. The concrete area leading to the pool would be great for this, or a gazebo, or larger open or covered greenhouse in the expansive green open garden will add to its pleasant vibe. A fountain perhaps, or treehouse within that nature enclave. The area is a hidden gem, polishing it with amenities adds sparkle.Go for it.
