My partner and I lived here for 2 years. It was within our budget and a great size. It is a very pet-friendly building thus far. Maintenance is very responsive and usually fixes smaller issues within 48 hours. My main complaints were: - The waitlist for parking is substantial because each of the limited number of parking spot transfers with the apartment lease it was previously tied to. I wouldn't get your hopes up, but I would get a local parking permit. - The floors creak and are very, very loud. You'll hear every step of your upstairs neighbor. This took a lot of getting used to, and still makes us jump once in a while. Cross your fingers for an upstairs neighbor that has a similar sleep schedule as you do or get a top-floor apartment. - The radiator was often broken during cold weather, and overly functional during hot weather. You might consider that a feature. We did not. - The washing machines often break down, sometimes mid-wash. - All of the light bulbs in the common areas of the building are different colors and often not working. It's a small detail, but it's easy to get right now that nice LED lightbulbs exist. This place gets it wrong with random bulbs in each fixture.

I have been here 1 year. No issues with any tenants. Most keep to themselves. Maintenance does reach out well ahead of time if there ever needs to be anything fixeed

I would have been here for so long if it wasn't such a great building.

I have been living here for nearly 20 years and that in itself should say something. While there my not be much in the way of amenities, that simply does not matter. The apartments are classic and lovely, the neighborhood is ideal and the residents are great. More than anything, however, is the staff. I have known many of them for the time I have been here and they are all some of the best folks that I know. Further, things get fixed in very short order. Emergency type issues such as plumbing or electricity (which almost never occur) are dealt with within hours and non-emergencies are addressed within a day or so. Please note that I do not work for them and was not asked for this review but rather, it is all simply true.

Lived here for about 7 months now. Pros: -Affordable compared to other places in the neighborhood -Good location in terms of proximity to park, Polk, Fillmore, Whole Foods -Kept clean -Laundry in building, dishwasher in unit -Apartments have a lot of light and good layout Cons: -Normal old building problems. Creaky floors, can clearly hear upstairs neighbors, lots of street noise if you're facing the front of the building -Right on the edge of dicier areas so not uncommon to have litter on the street, homeless folks sitting outside, late night shouting outside -Parking garage is tight, but it's great that they have one! -No outdoor space / rooftop access
