Maintenance is slow. Had to repair some things on my own without getting a response from maintenance or the office. I’d give them the benefit of the doubt considering COVID, but there is no follow up after the request.

We love our home! Our first couple months at Alderwood Park Apartments have been interesting given that we've seen lots of people moving out due to the pandemic. We are currently the only occupied apartment on our floor. Parking is great. We have one assigned parking space pass and another for community parking. We always find a space available. We were not able to use the pool until this past week due to Alameda County orders around health safety. We just used it for the first time last weekend which was exciting. It was clean and organized well by management so we were the only family there. The laundry room works fine although I worry when I see people without masks inside. Staff management is friendly and responds quickly to emails. We did have some maintenance issues like a clogged sink drain and low pressure toilet but luckily, it was fixed right away by building maintenance. Because we were given a "COVID special" (second month free), our overhead cost came down to a reasonable value. Noise level is high because we are located near a larger street where big rigs drive past often. There is also noise from the train that passes by a few times a day and once at night. Given that our floor is almost empty, we don't hear too much noise from other neighbors, however, I often smell cigarette smoke from people smoking on their balconies/ patios or in the parking lot. I wish they would go out to the street corner rather than within our living quarters.

I love our staff they have been so great. Parking is absurd and we are not happy about having to pay extra for a car because we are 2 adults in a 1 bed. Because other people have cars sitting around, our extra parking we will now have to pay $25 a month. Super upsetting. Other then that everything else is fine
