We really like it -- at this price.

- We love the physical building -- high ceilings, great 1930s Hollywood architecture!!! 11' ceilings. We would never ever live in one of these new fake-luxury shoeboxes. Knock this down and put up a shoebox and you'll get some people, but definitely not us, and given that the building is in excellent shape, we hope you won't make that smistake. - Gardeners are meh but whatever. - The price is good but not great. It's normal. There are apts in the Valley in buildings like this with 2-3 bedrooms that are $1700. This is a tiny 1 BR. On the other hand, the location -- that's what got us and keeps, us at this price.

great location, some noise, small but lovely 1930s building

It's a very convenient location, as central as you can be. We like the 1930s old Hollywood feel of the building even if it's small. 8 apts means we all know each other, basically get along, and have a personal relationship with everyone in the building. No private parking -- weird: there are two spaces in the back that Wiseman doesn't give anyone, bizarrely -- which is a problem for Angelenos and which, given the abundant street parking in a 2-3 block radius from the building, is heaven for New Yorkers. Maintenance and admin are maybe better than average. We like it.
