You can't beat the location of this building. Right off the 134, walking distance to Ralphs, Trader Joes, and even the Americana if you're up for a 20 min walk. Yet we're still out of the hustle and bustle of busy Glendale. The hotel next door can be loud at times and we have the typical Glendale drivers revving their leased sports cars up Brand, but all in all, 1101 is the perfect mix of convenience with suburban quiet. Management is great, very responsive. They do raise the rent every year like clockwork, Cons are there is only one washer and dryer for the entire building (the dryer takes cycles to actually dry clothes) so most tenants use the Laundromat. Years ago when we moved in, we were told they would be adding a second washer/dryer, but that seems to have been inaccurate. We also only have one single-family-home sized recycling bin. It's usually full within hours of the recycling truck coming by. All that being said, I plan on staying here for the foreseeable future. The units are spacious, location is great, management is responsive, you can get away with parking two cars to a spot if you mind the sidewalk line.

I'm able to walk to 3 different grocery stores. Entertainment and shopping are also in walking distance. However, as rent increases significantly, it is hard to justify the condition of the apartment. Bathroom is in serious need of remodel and I question if the stove is even legal anymore.

I've lived here for a few years now and absolutely love the location and spaciousness of our unit. We have a ridiculous amount of storage and quite large bedrooms. The central air and water pressure is fantastic. Unbeatable location right off the 134, walking distance to Trader Joes, Ralphs, and the shopping/restaurants of Brand Blvd. Management also keeps the courtyard garden looking beautiful which is a nice touch. Things that could be better: There is only one washer and dryer for all 16 units and the dryer requires at least two cycles to dry. Most of us go to a laundry mat because of this. Luckily there is one just a few minutes away (driving). The hotel next door can get a bit loud at night as well, but it hasn't been too disruptive. All that being said, we plan on staying here for years to come! Many of the other tenants have been here for quite some time. If you can get past the laundry situation, this is a fantastic place to live.

I've been here for almost 12 years. I stay because the rent is more than reasonable for this area. I can walk comfortably to three grocery stores and other shopping areas. I don't have to worry about parking. Yes, the building is old but the owner is slowly trying to renovate. And he sends maintenance for issues within 24 hours of request. If it's an emergency, even sooner.

I live in one of the units that has not been upgraded. However, I have been pleased with my apartment due to the comparable rent rates in the area. After 11 years, it definitely could use some updating (especially considering it is clear the unit has not been updated in decades) but the it provides the basics. The highest compliment I can give is that the residents are treated with the same respect across the board. New and old residents receive the same service.

I've lived here for 10+ years. Being able to walk to so many grocery stores and the Americana is what really keeps me here. The new owners are slowly trying to make the property better. inside and out.
