would not recommend

The water pressure in the kitchen sink is so slow and soft and we got no attention to that when asked. The shower tub and bathroom sink are constantly clogging and this is an issue apartment wide(at least two others have said they also have this issue) but nothing has been done to fix pipes. its not something draino can fix. what else? oh the mold. extensive mold in the bathroom , there is no proper fan installation. was told by previous property manager "keep the window open" .... the window is to the shower....open window while you shower? doesnt work

Park Regent

When I first moved in, I loved it. Then I got pneumonia, got an air filter, and a 5 filter reverse osmosis filter for my water. Couple months later everybody on my floor moves out. 2 because they had environmental toxins in the apartment. Then the construction in the apartment next to mine started, causing my counter to separate from the cabinet next to it. The wall was vibrating from a power tool being used. Realized I don't have any ventilation above my stove. Got locked out one day, and the property management didn't pick up.. spent $200 on a lock smith just to find out the manager was no longer working for the company. Which a neighbor has to tell me. Also power went out one day because it wasn't being paid by the person who was supposed to be property management???? Management seems to be going through a bunch of transitions, and the apartment building itself is nice, but has issues because it's old. The outside areas always smell like dog pee. Thankfully the mailroom is very safe and the door mechanism is great. Just wish our property management was living on site like they're legally supposed to be in Alameda County.

Its a nice place

Overall it is a peaceful place to live, but there are some personal preferences I have. Everybody is friendly, but there are many animals in the apartment. It frequently smells like dogs in common areas which is not my favorite thing. My apartment gets 30 mins of sunlight a day, and going in the courtyard is unenjoyable because it smells like urine and some people leave their dogs animal wastes. The laundry facility is fast and convenient, though it leaks and fills with water which is concerning if you drop ur clean water into. My apartment is over the garage and trash area.. so my apartment smells like trash especially when the dumpsters are full. I cant leave my windows because the aroma will fill the space. The apartment building is old and the walls stop a lot of the noise you would expect to hear from a building full of many dogs, the radiators keep the space very comfortable in the winter, the manager is responsive and on top of things.

Recent Move-in

Can’t beat the location. We walk everyday and are in close to proximity to things. The washer and dryer machines need an update to HE. I wish my tub surround wasn’t refinished so I could clean.

Unhappy

could be an amazing property if it was maintained and keep clean. the current management is useless and won't even acknowledge residences as they walk right by them on the property
