Maintenance and addressing vermin problems is apparently a slow process for the landlord/property management company. The house is falling apart, mold everywhere, and there is no outdoor lighting for safety. Also, there is only 1 washer/dryer for 7 units! That's absurd. I am looking forward to the day I move out. Gallagher and Lindsey is nothing but a laughing stock. It's unfortunate that they are only one of the only players in town...

I have been living here for 12 years. I've consistently had great relationships with the other tenants. The street is very safe. I enjoy the proximity to public transit on the block. There are shops within walking distance as well.

I have lived at the current location for 12 years. I enjoy the safety of the neighborhood. It is nearby public transportation. I enjoy the community bond I share with my neighbors.

Great tenants/neighbors. It feels like a community. There are updated appliances and decent sized kitchen and bathroom. Now for the bad, there is no properly assigned parking and no lights out back where the cars are parked. This is dangerous as I have tripped over things at night. There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer for 7 units! This is definitely not enough considering there are multiple families with children living there. Also, the apartments aren't sealed properly along the walls and vents. Whenever another tenant cooks strong smelling food, it permeates throughout the whole building including my unit. The smell comes primarily from my closets where there are adjacent to the other units. Also, the difference in rent is huge here. After talking to other neighbors who have been there for a while pay hundreds of dollars less in rent than I pay. Also, the exterior of the building could use some fresh paint. It is the ugliest building on the block and this place is located in one of the nicest locations in Alameda. What a travesty.

Pulling teeth to have something repaired and replaced. Took the grass down to dirt and never regrew it, dusty mess.
