Good location

I have lived here for three years now. The location is a great spot for me because of where I work and go to school, so that is great! My apartment is a great size and is at a good price for the area. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover, but the new staff is helpful.

I've renewed my lease four times

I moved here from back East in 2018 for work. A stay in an apartment community was supposed to be temporary. I choose to renew every year. Why? - It is a friendly community of neighbors who help each other and become part of each others lives--for those of us who choose to engage (some don't, that's their choice). - Occasionally, we have new neighbors who are angry at the world (or feel entitled) and act up. They don't last. Thank you, Management! - There are no serious noise issues. If a neighbor is too loud, they get a knock on the door from a neighbor and they turn it down. If they don't turn it down, another neighbor calls the police. Management follows up in the morning. With very few exceptions in five years, a neighbor has never been noisy twice. - Management is serious about guidelines for the outside porch areas of apartments. Bravo! People who like to store things on the porch will be disappointed; they need to live elsewhere. - The community is dog friendly. Really. - Management is unfriendly to lazy dog owners. Let me explain. We have enclosed porches. But we have rules against leaving dogs out on porches alone. Don't even think about it. Also if you leave your dog home alone and it barks for hours at a stretch while you're away, well, you'll be sending Fido to doggy day care or you won't be here for long. If you think that's harsh or micromanaging, you will be happier in another community. - Last but no least, the subject of MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. I've heard people complain and give Management a "D" for this. My needs have been few, but my experience has been very good. Depending on the problem, I get a person at my door within an hour or the following day. Maybe people are expecting the same service they get at the Hilton. That's not fair. Given what I pay in rent, I think Management does a very good job with the resources available to them. This is the longest review I've ever written, but I think Management has earned it.
