Great place for a student to live!
For the most part, this a good place to stay while attending school. Can't really beat the price anywhere else.
Not the best experience
My roommate and I have lived here for 2 years and there have been way too many things that have happened. First we were supposed to live in building 3 but there was black mold in our apartment so we had to be relocated to 2. While living in 2 our building caught on fire so we had to be relocated again which was not very well planned and we didn't have much time to move our stuff out. Giving them the benefit of doubt I don't think they've ever dealt with something like that before so it was a leaning process for all. There was drama surrounding the moving out incident, the management team was flustered and so were all of us and they somehow got unhappy with us and decided to call our coach to try to get us into trouble even though vista is not student apartments anymore and we didn't do anything wrong... so that was a fun tid bit to deal with. Since then we have moved into building 6 and there have been numerous issues that have to do with maintenance that have altered my roommate and I's living situation. When we first moved into 6, we noticed that our carpets were messed up like they weren't cut right for the rooms but there wasn't really anything we could do about that. Along with that the a/c and dryer were not working, so our apartment was 46 degrees and we couldn't dry any of our clothes after washing. It took them 2 weeks and some drama to get people out to us to help. Thankfully there were a few months of "normal living" where nothing went wrong but that did not last long, while my roommate and I were home for Christmas break our power went out and we got no notification of any kind so we got a fun surprise when we got back because it was STILL out. After the power had been out for a month we lost everything in our fridge and freezer but vista wasn't going to say anything about it until we pushed them. We found out it was a corporate issue and it was somewhat resolved, since then there have been issues with the a/c, lights, freezer and of course the power.
