Ive lived here 5years. I enjoy community of people. Our manager, Alice is so nice and pleasant. Brianne, the housekeeper does a grat job of keeping building clean. Chris, maintenance is very nice and helpful.

Love the staff! Alice and Chris are fantastic and so helpful! The apartments are great and so quiet! Everything is clean and up to date! I haven't lived in an apartment in 30 yrs and i was nervous but so glad i chose Lakewood!

Living @ Lakewood House
Ive lived here 20 years and loved it and still do. Of course things have changed, any of them under the original owners. We used to have a well decorated lobby and event room done by a professional. That stopped about ten years ago but the good things installed by the decorator were kept in place. This lasted until a few years ago. Currently a resident is often decorating the event room for holidays with myriad cheap items. That bothers me. I believe a professional decorator is worth their money. Also detail is overlooked. To me the devil is definitely in the details. For instance, e have some beautiful lamps but one needs repaired to work. Why not reoair it rather than buy cheap new ones? I came in the front door recently only to look up and see a garbage can straight ahead in the event room. Why not make sure its in the kitchen out of the way? The elevators do not appear to be cleaned daily. They should be swept and the panel wiped down every morning. The elevator panels in the halls are not cleaned regularly. Is it possible to do that if not every three days, at least weekly. Also as to be expected the walls in the halls get marked up pretty easily. A Mr. Clean pad takes care of that easily and can prolong a paint job. I can go on about small things but no need. Maintainance, as in the taking care of problems is much improved with the new ownership which i appreciate. I hate the vertical blinds and find them not inly tacky but difficult to use. I wish the outdoor sprinkler system was used. We have beautiful grounds that would be very expensive to reproduce today. They should be watered and maintained by a professional. The flowers provided annually on the patio and at the pool are lovely though. I dont mean to sound harsh. I know managing such a place is difficult and keeping it in the black a hard job. I still love living here but a greater emphasis on cleanliness and the looks of things would be appreciated.
