Not worth the rate
First of all, the apartment was not move-in ready and then they expect you to turn on the electricity 3 days in advance as well as pay a $250 non-refundable deposit. The carpet was so-call-cleaned the same day I received my keys and they blasted my AC to make it dry quicker while I was at work.. The utility fees and water bill is concerning... I pay the same for water as families of 3 or more people and I'm single, with no kids. My apartment is supposed to be renovated but the only thing that seem to have been renovated is the paint on the wall but the paper beneath the paint is peeling.. The flooring in the kitchen and bathroom is decent and that's about it.. The dish washer falls on you when you open it, water damaged cabinets stink and they just paint over the damages instead of replacing the wood. AC closet was filthy and full of trash, door locks didn't match the key and every single door is off track. You can literally see the light of day through the doors. It causes my cold air to escape during the summer and you can feel the wind rushing in when it's cold. While I'm sure the maintenance and staff here do their best, the quality of the apartment still doesn't match the rate. Most of my encounters with maintenance have been good. I don't know names so I can't be more specific. Overall, it doesn't seem like a bad neighborhood but is definitely not the best. The grounds are always covered in trash but that is a reflection of these trifling tenants and their guests. It's mostly quiet when I'm inside but I definitely couldn't relax on the balcony because of all the commotion I hear coming from other buildings and music blasting. While I am very grateful for my apartment because it could be worse, I just know that they can and need to do better here at Meadow Ridge. They could benefit from a lesson or two about communication and how to not be so petty. People want what they pay for and deserve respect. Anybody that doesn't get that is in the wrong field.
