The people are pleasant, but this complex’s contract is just as outdated as its units are .. if you have the slightest inkling that you may not be able to finish your lease out full term, I do not recommended this apartment complex to you. You will be locked into a contract that you can not get out of, because they do not allow you to break the lease whatsoever, and they expect you to leave the utilities on in your name until the duration of the lease is up. These are very outdated practices, and you would think that in a booming city like Huntsville, there would be more emphasis on trying to lease out units quickly. If you find yourself having to move before your lease is up, they will tell you that they are going to work to lease your unit, but they won’t tell you that if there are additional units that need leasing in front of yours, that yours won’t be leased until those units are. And if they aren’t leasing units whatsoever, you can hang up the hope of your unit being leased.. I left in March with a lease that does not end until October, and before I left, I was told by a leasing agent that she didn’t think it would take but a couple of months before my unit was leased out. Almost 5 months later and it hasn’t been rented out at all, and I’m not expecting it to be. Part of me feels like they have not tried. This contract is essentially a death row contract with no way out. I don’t recommend these apartments to anyone who thinks they may come across other opportunities that may lead to you having to relocate mid contract. Had I not been so desperate for a place to stay moving from a different state, I would have made a better decision when it came to renting an apartment. Just make sure you read the contract to its entirety.
