Value for the price

I have lived here for 2 years. I really love the floorplan and layout of the apartment. I enjoy the spaciousness of the unit. It is cost efficient to heat and cool in summer and winter. The only things I have not liked are the lack of timeliness where important maintenance is concerned. It took too long to get the AC unit fixed during the heat of summer. Was without AC for almost 24 hours. There is periodic noise from the neighbors and what smells like marijuana coming from either the unit under me or next to me. Other than those things, I have enjoyed living here.

about this place...

Lived here for over 6 years. Overall I like it. My biggest complaint is not being able to access the pool table after the office hours. Ive been asking for a simple fix like French doors to separate that area. Ive given up asking. Best pro: The grounds are kept beautiful and clean. Thanks

Lack of Communication, Smells like weed 24/7

My biggest complaint about Emerald Ridge is the lack of communication between the staff, maintenance, and us. When an issue requires maintenance, we fill out a request online but have to follow up in order to get the ball rolling. The office staff repeatedly promises that maintenance will come "tomorrow" or "Monday" but they rarely show up. It is extremely unprofessional the way that these people do not follow through on anything. Since September 2020, we have had an outstanding maintenance request for our bathroom. It is January 2021, and maintenance has not yet come to fix it. My wife has called at least five times, and was promised that someone would stop by today. However, no one came, and we have heard nothing. It is not a one-time issue; this is how every issue with the office staff has been handled. In addition to complaints about communication and staff/maintenance, I must warn any potential residents about sounds and smells. We live on the second floor, sandwiched between the people above us--who sound like they're stomping all the time--and the people below us--who smoke weed multiple times a week. Overall, this is the fifth apartment (and by far the most expensive) that I've lived in, and I have never had such problems with maintenance. Other residents can be a frequent nuisance. I am very disappointed to spend so much money to deal with a lack of professionalism at the office and immature tenants all around us.
