Locals and Aggies Beware

As you can see by my last review, this place changed ownership while I was living there and now I’m giving it 1 star. In the beginning living here was fine- there were some issues we had early on but they always sent someone to fix it. Then the property was sold out from under the tenants and neither company told us what was happening. I asked questions because there were a ton of people coming for “inspections”, but they never told us anything. The tenant portal to pay was down for weeks during payment time and the ONLY way to pay was by money order as the new company (we still didn’t know it was knew) wouldn’t take any other form of payment. The lockbox to drop off your payment was also locked or stuck so you could only drop payment off when people were in the office. During this time our oven stopped working and the maintenance guy who said he would be back to get us a new microwave in a week or so (hadn’t worked since we moved in) and fix our ceiling (there was an issue with the water in the unit above us and they had to cut out a huge chunk of ceiling in our bathroom) NEVER CAME BACK. On top of this, all the phone numbers and email address for the office quit working, and paper signs were put on the door of the office saying things like “closed today” or “only open for 2 hours today” or “be back tomorrow”. We were also trying to renew our lease during this time and there was absolutely no communication from management. After a few weeks of this and trying to get into the office (which seemed to always be closed when I was working), we and a few other tenants received notes on our doors saying we would be evicted if we didn’t pay. Mind you- they were never open to accept the pay from people who were working, and they never communicated what was happening on the property. At the end of that notice it had a totally different rental company name and that’s how a lot of tenants found out about the… review was too long. Read the rest on google or yelp.

Love Property!!!

I love living here at The Halston. I been living here for 1 yr. I love all the staff members that work in the office and maintenance guys. I love that we have a amazing pool and fitness center. The apartments is very spacious. I also have nice neighbors.
