Going on my 3rd year here. Excellent amenities, safe, quiet. Maintenance is excellent. Always looking out for their residents!

    5/5 Tamryn G. on Jun 28, 2023

Everything has been so easy, from touring, contracting, then moving in, the process was a breeze. Alexis Greene is incredible. She was great to work with and answered all of our questions very quickly. Everyone is so nice and they know us when they see us. The apartment is perfect. Plenty of room, the appliances are great and the view is perfect. It's worth the price and we love it here!

Living in Westfield, IN

Renters who want to relocate to one of the best places to live in Indiana — or even the country — should look for an apartment for rent in the fast-growing suburb of Westfield, IN. Located approximately 30 minutes from Indianapolis, Westfield has been named one of the “Top 10 Places to Raise a Family” by Family Circle magazine and one of the best places to live in the country by Money.com. And, it’s easy to see why when considering that the award-winning schools are some of the best in the state. In addition, renters who love sports will feel like they’re in heaven: The Grand Park Sports Campus is one of the best youth sports complexes in America with state-of-the-art outdoor facilities like baseball, softball, soccer, football, and field hockey, as well as three full-size indoor fields, locker rooms and dining options. It’s also the Indiana Colts training facility in the summer. What’s more, Westfield also offers multiple dining options and is developing rapidly to accommodate the fast-growing population. In particular, the ongoing Grand Junction Park & Plaza project is destined to be a large, multi-use park spanning six acres in downtown Westfield. Granted, the cost of living in Westfield is higher than average for the notoriously affordable state of Indiana, but only slightly above the national average.

Renting in Westfield, IN

Renters are few and far between in Westfield, where the vast majority of residents own their homes. More precisely, Westfield is a sparse, suburban community where the majority of the housing stock is comprised of detached, single-family homes that can be found in sprawling, cookie-cutter neighborhoods. Interestingly, most of these homes are relatively new: The oldest homes are only about 20 years old because Westfield’s population surged 45% between 2010 and 2020. In any case, the cost of a rental apartment in Westfield is on par with the average for the rest of the Indianapolis-Carmel-Anderson metropolitan area, as well as the rest of the Hoosier state. Notably, Indiana rental laws do not put a statutory limit on how much landlords can charge renters for a security deposit. However, Westfield renters should expect to put down the equivalent of one month’s rent to secure a rental apartment.

Things for renting

Shopping in Westfield, IN

Westfield may be a relatively new suburb, but renters will find plenty of options for grocery stores to stock the kitchen of their rental apartment, no matter their tastes and budgets. National and regional supermarket chains that have made Westfield their home include Kroger, Meijer, Aldi, the Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme Market, Walmart and Target. Or, renters can find more options in the more established neighboring city of Carmel, which is also home to the closest shopping malls.

Transportation in Westfield, IN

Renters considering moving to Westfield better should expect to spend a lot of time in their cars. Westfield is a sprawling, suburban environment and offers some pockets where you may find some shopping and dining options within walking distance of each other. However, it’s more likely that you’ll need your car anytime you leave your rental apartment. And, while there are currently no public transit options in Westfield, there is an existing IndyGo project to connect the cities of Westfield, Carmel, Indianapolis, and Greenwood with frequent and reliable transit service.
