The city also offers plenty of parks for both visitors and residents. Bryant Park and Bryant Park South are both located on the Intercoastal Waterway. They provide boat ramps, grills, and playgrounds. A little further inland is Howard Park, which features picnic facilities, playgrounds, a baseball field, and basketball and tennis courts.
But perhaps the biggest park is the oceanside Lake Worth Casino Beach Complex. There you’ll find beach access, playgrounds and picnic tables, with lifeguards on duty during the day.
Couples will find tons to keep them busy in Lake Worth. You can enjoy a romantic movie together at the AMC Starplex Cinema or dinner and shopping at the Lake Worth Casino Complex. Although the original casino now serves as a venue for weddings and other celebrations, it dates back to the early 20th century and has been completely renovated into a modern shopping and social destination.
The city hosts numerous seasonal, annual, and holiday festivals. One highlight is the Rocktober Brewfest, which combines Oktoberfest with a showcase of the region’s craft beers. More fun can be had at the beach bonfires held twice each month during the winter.
For a modest-sized town, Lake Worth has an amazing amount of art and cultural facilities. In fact, the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County has its headquarters in the city. There’s also the Duncan Theater at Palm Beach State College, which features live music and dancing.
The Lake Worth Playhouse is another theater here, a vintage building that hosts live musical and community theater performances. If you want to learn to create some art of your own – or just see wonderful exhibits – the city also offers the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts, where glass, ceramic, and metal art is crafted.

Major industries in Lake Worth include healthcare, agriculture, and aerospace. The region is also known as a major sugar production center. United States Sugar and Florida Crystals are two of the city's biggest employers.
There are also several large aerospace companies in the area, including Sikorsky, a division of Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. If you want to work in healthcare, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities, including the JFK Medical Center.
