I needed to temporarily store some items while in transition for an out-of-state move and am really glad I chose to do so at Make Room Storage. When I realized I needed storage, I called other local places that didn't return my calls or had me speak with non-local call center reps who couldn't answer any questions (such as what sized units were available and whether the units were easily accessible by a large moving truck). Larry of Make Room Storage, on the other hand, was easy to contact and gave me additional recommendations based on my needs. He was also very thorough, honest and thoughtful about the various pros and cons of different units (such as this one will be easiest to access with a large moving truck with room to easily turn around over there but will get muddy when it rains). The units are also located in a convenient location, clean, and competitively priced. When it came time for me to move out, he was easy to contact again and made the entire process easy. Thank you, Larry! Moving out-of-state is stressful and, because of you, where and how I stored items was NOT one of my stresses. I highly recommend Make Room Storage! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Make Room Storage - 3856 Coffeen Avenue include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager and Security Camera. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Make Room Storage - 3856 Coffeen Avenue start from $45 and can go up to $100 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
