This is the first storage company that has reached out to me to make sure I was set up and ready to move in. Bridget was friendly, helpful, and offered to solve problems that I hadn't even considered. Day 1 and I am already impressed. ... Read more

It’s expensive for what the premises look like. The one on East College is tight and a pain to get in. The storage unit is clean, but $160 a month for a 10x10 is robbery. The promotions aren’t even that good. If you need something quick and fast this is the place. It is a 5 or 4 star spot by any means. ... Read more

The unit was well maintained, easy to access but I was very disappointed to learn they do not pro-rate move out dates. While moving, I only needed a week extension but had to pay nearly $200 for that additional week. ... Read more

This place is awful to deal with they don't keep you in the loop of anything that's going on on the property if they do happen to lock you out it takes them weeks to get you into your own storage unit even after you've paid it. And then even if you are behind and communicate with thrm, have payment plans, they will sell your stuff and not tell you. They claim they make phone calls and send out paperwork but they don't do shit this is an awful company I pray that nobody runs through them anymore and if you do you will lose your stuff. Awful awful company to be with I would not recommend them I would not hold your stuff there unless you go and check on it daily. The staff is rude the phone numbers you call those people are not helpful you can tell them all day long about anything and it doesn't matter they will just sell your stuff and make it out to be your problem even though it was their doing ... Absolutely DO NOT do business with these people.Their business practices are SHADY!!!I rented a 10-15 unit from them. The price they advertised was $75 a month with a promotion off 50% discount of the first 3 months. After the first 3 months of getting the 50% discount I paid the original amount of $75 and then after that, they raised the price to $170 a month for the exact same unit. That is more then a 100% increase in rates!!!How does one go from $75 a month to $170!!!!This is SHADY and do NOT recommend anyone to do business with these people! ... Too bad I have to give this place a one star, I would much prefer to give it a few negative stars. I ordered and paid for a storage unit online, got a unit number and a code after paying for it. The next morning I went to look at the unit and found that the unit had a lock on the door. I looked at the door, it was definitely, locked. So I went to the office for help, office is locked and no one is around. 4 times in the day I went there to find out about this unit...no one around unable to get help. So I called to cancel the storage unit...first call the man on the phone eventually hung up on me. Second call got a very rude woman sound like she was annoyed that I was calling her. Kept asking if I took any pictures 5 times I told her no. I was told a supervisor would call me about my refund. I am still waiting for the call. This company does not impress me as being very professional. Feb 9: Still waiting for a supervisor to call about my refund ... Read more

Put me in emotional distress and caused a whole panic attack after poor communication. Called to make payment after being one month behind. Was told my unit was auctioned off, and then had to jump through hoops and send the police to verify if my unit still had anything left or was available at all. Because there was only a green tag and not a lock on the unit they started the auction process and did not notify me in any way. After many phone calls and having to call people to go check for me as I’m no longer in town, I was told everything was fine. I had to be hospitalized because it triggered my PTSD and I had an episode in my hotel room. Very poor communication skills in moments of crisis like that. Also varying charges, not consistent with what’s in the agreement you sign. Once my belongings get removed I will not be using them moving forward. April from Indiana calmed my nerves and did her best to figure out what was going on with my account on a terrible Monday so kudos to her! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 711 East College Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 711 East College Drive start from $26 and can go up to $144 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
