Read some helpful reviews of Downtown Self Storage at 200 North Wolcott Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

My little brother died August 26th 2025 in a very tragic unexpected accident. He was only 23 so he didn’t have a whole lot but what he did have was a storage unit. We called the unit and the office manager was very rude and stated she would need to speak to a lawyer because we were not entitled to my brothers unit. Which is very understandable but she was not kind at all about it. We went through the proper legal channels to get into the storage unit which made us wait 30 days to even file paperwork to gain access to the unit, which was painful because we’re just dragging out the worst day of me and my family’s life, but again not her fault. However, once we gained access, paid the unit balance and late fees off of 485$ we were given the keys with no other explanation. She called me on Monday (2 days after gaining access to the unit) and told us we only had one more day to get my brothers things out and we were told if we didn’t get all his stuff out in the allotted day we would be responsible for another months rent. When I spoke to the office manager Sandy Adkinson she said “that’s how it works sorry” so I 100% do not recommend downtown self storage. Extremely unprofessional and difficult to work with. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Downtown Self Storage - 200 North Wolcott Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 6 to 220 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Downtown Self Storage - 200 North Wolcott Street start from $25 and can go up to $145 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
