Read some helpful reviews of Storage Lion at 2214 County Highway A, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

All-Stor bought the property and buildings at the storage facility that I rent on Town Hall Rd. in Barton, Wi. in March of 2024. 2 months later I was informed that my rent is going up 10%. 6 months after that, and right before the holidays, I was informed that my rent will be increasing another 20%! They politely say they have to do this to make improvements, yet nothing has changed but my rent! Seems they are purchasing all the storage facilities in the area, then greatly increasing the rent. If you're looking for storage space, stay as far away from these crooks as you can!! There is no law in Wisconsin prohibiting outrageous rent increases, and they are taking full advantage of it! ... I recently rented a storage unit from All Stor in Farmington, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. From the start, the process of securing a unit was incredibly straightforward and hassle-free. Kelly was friendly, professional, and made sure I had all the information I needed. When I first saw the unit, I was impressed by how clean and well-maintained it was, which gave me confidence that my belongings would be safe and secure. Throughout my rental period, communication with the team was excellent—they were always prompt in responding to any questions or requests I had. The checkout process was just as smooth as getting the unit. I appreciated how simple and efficient it was, with no hidden fees or surprises. Overall, this storage facility exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a reliable, clean, and easy-to-use storage option, I highly recommend All-Stor! ... Read more

A $20 late fee... really? For 5 days late? Do you want me to stay as a customer? I have been a long time customer (over 10 years) and never in any danger of missing rentals. The big business approach from the previous owners is getting tough to swallow. ... Read more

I had no issues paying forward 12mo at a time for several years under the former owners/management. There was a local management presence and no issues. Over several years the rent increased $5/month, and I always received 1month free. Reasonable. Under new management, there are rate increases gating about every 2-3 months. This includes added mandatory managed insurance charges, sketchy liability insurance contracts with you, the individual, and their property (not yours), and finally general rate increases under the guise of added services. Force you to add your own lock (worked fine the way it was for many years) and THEN charge you $12/month for insurance including a "lock removal fee" stated on the contract for their property. BEWARE! Running the numbers, thus far my (out of pocket) rent/charges have increased $760/year. This is +64.5%. Unreasonable. Pulling any of this over a Wisconsin winter is also very sketchy and speaks to the mindset of the new management. I don't want to find out what the charges or T&C's will be 6 months from today. If you're looking for storage to try to simplify life without diminishing service, consistent notification of up-charges & ever changing terms & conditions; I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere or away from anything under the umbrella of "The Storage Mall Management Group". The ratings/feedback should have reset when the management changed, they are still riding the overall positive reviews of the former management. Take a closer look at the reviews going back a year from March 2023. ... Read more

New ownership is significantly worse than the previous owners. Previous owner supplied the lock and key to your storage unit. Would reply and come do any service you needed like getting another key or spreading salt around the unit to get rid of ice. New Owners raised the prices, make you provide everything and won't even get rid of snow in front of your unit. So they charge you more just for you to do all their work for them. I'm immediately cancelling my rental and going with a different company. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 700 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Lion - 2214 County Highway A start from $89 and can go up to $354 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
