Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 4801 Washington Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Front door opened with key pad and the app. No issues at all. Very clean, very bright inside and warm. Happy to be here for long time. The only thing for me is I would like a taller door in my unit and be able to go up higher. An eight foot door would be better. ... Read more

Very unprofessional. Having to pay for a storage space but have yet to fix the elevator that’s been down for about 3 weeks and only has one throughout the whole entire building is just unacceptable . No way we pay every month but doesn’t even fix the elevator. ... Read more

If I could give public storage a negative review I would. I’ve had a storage locker in another state for the better part of seven years maybe longer and I’ve never come across anything so vile as this company. While inside the unit, I had my one vehicle and a work truck. Failing to see the tow signs outside Because they’re so spread apart and while inside they proceeded to tow the work truck $383.later we got the truck back. After a day as well, I literally pulled my stuff from the storage locker the same day. And what’s worse as I was planning on renting out one of their largest units for my business Absolutely never. Not only that would you put a vile letter on our car saying no overnight parking it was absolutely not overnight parking there. ... Read more

The African American lady that was working at the Ohio Street location in Racine Wi accused us of dumping items outside the dumpster after we told her it was not us who did it. Then she proceed to say she will check the cameras and charge our account if it was our items. That was rude and wrong because there have been people coming and going from this facility since we have been here move our things in. I told her that we will be expecting an apology after she reviews the video. She when on defence. saying she didn't accuse us. Basically, she could have handled it better than she did, she was rude and unprofessional. It's a very nice facility and when people are paying their hard earned money, good customer service should be top priority. ... Read more

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4801 Washington Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 495 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4801 Washington Avenue start from $51 and can go up to $678 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
