I have been renting a storage unit for about 6 months and then received a message that my personal property needs to be removed in about 10 days. I have not received any other messages. I have sent several emails, numerous calls and there is been no calls or emails back to discuss this issue. I would not recommend storing your items at this location. ... Read more

Worst Experience Ever! I would highly recommend you avoid this company!! I rented unit 106 and was planning on moving that day. I rented a U-Haul and packed everything for about three hours. Well, I managed to get into the facility with the gate code; however, the padlock code was never sent to me via email-in fact, it was seriously blank under 'Your Unlock code.' After that, I went on the web portal too, and it kept constantly erroring out. Then I decided to call the number. An AI chat answered; the bot sent me an OTP, but it said they didn't have any code on file for the padlock aswell! I sat there for about an hour with no success. I tried multiple times and no 'real' person was available... 'offices are closed.' It gets worse, though! The following day, I finally went through hoops just to talk to a real agent. This agent said they didn't know what the code was either and requested I DRIVE ALL THE WAY BACK just to give them the serial number on the padlock! They wanted me to burn my gas and miles after I already got screwed on paying $28 for my U-Haul Trailer and had to unload everything. They should have had someone who works for the company follow basic protocol to work with customers and send someone themselves! In addition, the agent never once offered the option of giving me a different unit that they actually knew the code for! In fact, they were persistent about giving me small credits on an account that has never even had 'A' open unit yet! This whole company should be ashamed. I may follow up with legal disputes soon because of how hard it was to get any compensation or my money back. It was an absolute nightmare- 45 minutes with an agent acting like it’s not possible to cancel services. A prime example of how not to run a business. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at 10 Federal Storage - 229 Sussex Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by 10 Federal Storage - 229 Sussex Street start from $30 and can go up to $414 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
