I have been storing my travel trailer at Freeup storage for just one year and they have raised the rent twice in that one year up over a 60% increase. I will be looking for a new storage place today. 60% increase in a year is just not good business. ... Read more

My experience with Desiree Johnson has been great. Desiree was very knowledgeable about the storage rentals; she quickly responded to all inquiries that I had -- and what stood out the most to me, is that, Desiree was very patient with me throughout my storage rental process. That said, it was a pleasure to have her to assist my needs. *Update* 10-27-2024 I've recently downgraded from the original storage unit that I was renting. And, I must stress how pleased I was with Calynn and Desiree -- during the entire process. They've been awesome to work with from the beginning. Their speedy responses and transactions are deeply appreciated. ... Read more

Response to FreeUp: I've seen the texts myself, in fact I requested copies of them. They are of her talking about the items she was selling out of people's storage units. I'm not sure what your policy is when units are abandoned, but I would assume it isn't to let the manager and a customer she has a relationship with rummage through everything and sell whatever they can out of it first. I've also seen her smoking cigarettes in the unit adjacent to the office and I've heard she has kicked people out for this very thing. Lastly, I would contact the owner directly if there was a clear way to contact them. Everything you find online seems to ONLY have the manager's number listed and no contact information for anyone else. The lady who runs this place is known to steal from people's units, cut locks off of them that people are paid up to date on. Also, she offers deals on monthly rates in return for good reviews on here that name her specifically. Sham operation here, stay away unless you want your belongings stolen! ... Read more

I recently rented a storage unit from FreeUp Storage, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made the entire process quick and easy. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and secure, which gave me peace of mind knowing my belongings are safe. The unit itself is spacious and easily accessible, with convenient hours that fit my schedule perfectly. I was impressed by the climate control feature, which ensures my items are protected from extreme temperatures and humidity. The competitive pricing and flexible rental options were the icing on the cake. Overall, exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of storage solutions. Thank you for providing such excellent service! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at FreeUp Storage - 4018 Marsh Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by FreeUp Storage - 4018 Marsh Road start from $49 and can go up to $329 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
