Moving out was a really smooth experience using Conifer. As an international student, storage is really integral to move out process and the best part about Conifer Storage is that there are no hidden requirements or unnecessary documents to sign, thereby saving you time and effort. It was really easy for me to rent a unit, and the rent value was within budget compared to other storage facilities in Madison. Cory was really helpful and answered all my questions, he responded within a day and arranged for everything, and made this experience even better. Would 10/10 recommend! ... Read more

There's no garage at my apartment so I needed somewhere with power to set up shop until I could find a more permanent solution. The units are very new which was a bonus and Cory was awesome to work with. I couldn't recommend enough. ... Read more

5/5 Stars. I’ve been using Conifer for over 3 years and I have zero complaints. In fact, I have lots of good things to say. First, I like the security. Big gate to get in, lots of cameras fence around the perimeter. Second, it’s clean, always clean. And when it snows, it’s cleared out promptly. Cory is a great person to deal with, attentive to detail and always has a customer first focus. Would highly recommend, conveniently located in DeForest. ... Read more
Pete B. - 5 May 2021
I rented two 10" by 20" units for two years while i figured out where i was moving too and what to do with my things during this time. The units were well insulated for being outdoors, all of my electronics that were in storage worked when I took them back. Cory was very professional and easy to work with over the phone and email. I was pro rated for the units and received my deposits back in full. Conifer Storage has a good location, private and secure. I was able to move all my things out easy with a 26' truck (a little tight at the gate entrance). I would recommend this to others looking for a fair priced storage unit. ... Read more

Couldn’t say enough about Bill and Cory, ever since I expressed interest in renting a unit from them, they were friendly, and very nice to work with. I did end up getting a unit from them and I had a little bit larger of a trailer I wanted to put in there and they made it happen to get some guys together and help get it in the unit! Highly recommend these guys, facilities are clean, well managed, and secure. Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 40 to 540 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Conifer Secured Self Storage - 7646/7652 Conifer Court start from $70 and can go up to $480 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
