The facility itself is clean, secure, and easy to navigate, but what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. August greated us warmly and made the entire process feel effortless. Great experience with the physical location!! August is excellent - personable, helpful, and genuinely seems to care about his customers. When I moved my stuff in, he gave a great tour with easy-to-follow directions and little hints/tips that were handy! The facility is great. Very, VERY clean. Entrance using your code is easy, the main garage doors are in perfect working order, and plenty of space to park indoors out of the elements to load/unload. They provide sturdy carts to help haul belongings to the units. The elevator (I believe there is a single elevator) is a good size and fast. My unit was on the second floor. I had the unit for over a year and there is literally no dust accumulation at all. Zero spiders or cobwebs. Quite sad to be leaving, actually - I really trust my things are in good hands there! A note about the company itself (has nothing to do with the local management or facility). They aren't forthcoming about their rate policy. It appears there is a general practice among storage facilities to charge an introductory rate for a few months and then hike up the amount to the "normal" rate afterward. I've seen other companies be straightforward about this in their advertising and information when signing a lease. This was not the case with Extra Space Storage when I signed back in early 2024.. there was no obvious mention on the website or documents that the rate at which I was booking would be drastically increased 3 months later. Thankfully, when I was there moving in, August did warn me about the increase so I was not blindsided, but I was still not very happy about the overall company practice.. seems kind of slimy. If you have the need for a place to store your things, I strongly recommend choosing Extra Space Storage. Before I chose Extra Space Storage, I researched every storage in a 20 mile radius of Appleton for an elderly lady I was helping. Now over a year and still no regrets. I being homeless and her with the need for help doing day to day things I took many things in consideration. The staff 5?? we've had struggles, and I still struggle but they have always been understanding and work with me. Anywhere else I know I would have lost the last of my possessions by now. Besides the remarkable staff there's their facilities with a very easy to use walk-in or drive-in security code access as well as security cameras inside. The indoor climate controlled facility is very clean and pest free. There's a wide range of sizes to choose from to best fit your need at that time, as well as if the need to change to a larger or smaller unit, like I have more than once. TO TOP IT ALL OFF!!...PRICE!!...THEY HAVE THE ??BEST ONLINE DEALS ?? OFFERING THE LOWEST PRICES!! We are very impressed with the indoor storage facility and the security system.
