This place advertised a good deal, then a couple of months after I moved in, they increased my bill by over 20%. This place is a scam and also indoor, inconvenient storage. I really regret choosing them and will probably have to sell my things rather than deal with such extreme rental increases. They just can't be trusted at all. UPDATE: They told me to call after this review. I called and was told that the increase came from corporate and there's nothing they can do. I think they just wanted to give the appearance of being a decent company but I don't think they are. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because I believe it is a total scam. I'm moving out right away. I would have rented from them for a long time. I was at the facility I moved from for 7 years. Check out Iron Gate before committing to these guys. ... Read more

Friendly helpful office staff, clean units, professional processing and knowledgable assistance when ever I have a question or concern. That is why I continue to come here when I need additional storage. The lady who runs the office takes pride in the appearance of the facility and it is not unusual to see her outside making sure leaves are swept up and assisting renters. She deserves at least 6 stars for her positive attitude. ... Read more

The storage facility is clean and easy to navigate. The new manager is super sweet. I called to figure out how to properly end the use of the storage unit after they had closed the office and she made it very simple, quick and easy. I would definitely use them again and will refer them to friends if they need a storage unit. ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 5515 NE 121st Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 5515 NE 121st Avenue start from $80 and can go up to $165 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
