**UPDATED TO OWNERS RESPONSE** Your entire response is false. I've been a customer with Best NW for almost 2yrs now, and not once have any of the staff ever mentioned anything about me sitting down in my unit, nor about the length of time that I spent there. ADA law requires that businesses make reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities and medical conditions. If the staff had ever said anything to me, I would have gladly brought in a doctor's note. Furthermore, the day that I was referring to in the original review, I hadn't even been in my unit for 5 minutes, let alone hours and hours. Perhaps you have me confused with someone else. The manager wasn't even completely sure that I was the person she'd been talking to upstairs when she followed me to my car. But, aside from all the false statements you've made, my issue really wasn't with the policy. That could've been easily handled with a Dr's note. My issue is with the quality of service. It doesn't matter how amazing your product is, if you have no customers, you have no business. This whole scenario could have been avoided had the manager come at me without a condescending attitude, as if I was deliberately committing some great atrocity. And then to be told that my business was no longer wanted, and management was happy to see me go elsewhere. I've never come across a successful business that employed this type of service. So, you'll have to forgive me, but it appears that this was entirely about being unfair and singling me out. I'm happy to take my business elsewhere, to a place that appreciates the amount of money I'm spending every month. ******* When I moved into my unit, the manager at the time was awesome. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything i needed, without astronomical costs. That was a year and a half ago. Not sure when the change in management occurred, but I had my first opportunity to meet the new manager just a few days ago. I was the customer service manager at a national retail chain for several years, and if any of my employees ever treated a costumer the way this manager treated me, there would have been serious repercussions. First off, she did not identify herself as the manager. She just stuck her head in my unit, and asked what I was doing in a very accusatory tone. She then proceeded to freak out on me, because I was sitting down inside my unit. She continued to speak to me in a very condescending tone, even after I explained that I had health issues that kept me from standing for long periods. As I was leaving, she followed me to my car, still insisting that I was not allowed to sit down inside my unit. I was fairly upset at this point, and told her that I'd be moving out of my unit since it was such a problem. To which, she replied, and I quote, "Good." Apparently Best Storage NW does not appreciate having the business of long term customers anymore. At least not the management. My interactions with other employees have been wonderful, perhaps she ought to take some lessons from them. The next day, I found a new storage facility to keep my belongings at, and I will not be doing business with Best Storage NW any longer. ... Read more

Online purchase was easy, however I was not able to acquire a door code because nobody was on site mid day Saturday when they were supposed to be open. The sign said attendant would return at 10, but it was already almost 2 pm and they close at 6 pm. So still can not use the unit. ... Read more

Well, they're all ways cleaning the parking lot, picking up everyone else's litter and garbage. This company is very kind and thoughtful for doing this single act of kindness without trying to take credit for anything. They just naturally continue cleaning the other lots as usual, so it's always nice and clean everywhere for everyone to sèe. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at West Coast Self-Storage - 16290 Auto Lane include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by West Coast Self-Storage - 16290 Auto Lane start from $32 and can go up to $434 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
