Lanze Douglas is the owner of this location. I along with several others had their vehicles broken into and robbed back in November 2024. They stole everything out of our RV, cut out the catalytic convertor, stole the license plates and even siphoned our gas tank. Total damage was over 7k for just my vehicle. Secure it promised us they had camera's positioned directly into the lots and they would scour them and find out who was to blame. Fast forward many months, not only has Lanze Douglas never called or had anyone from secure storage call to apologize but he refuses to accept any responsibility at all. If you were affected by this break in and robbery and would like to join forces to make this right please reach out to me. ... Read more

I have been a customer with Secure It Self Storage since March of this year, after fleeing an abusive relationship that left my life in ruins. I lost my home, two jobs, and my car, and I was forced to find a safe place for what little remained of my belongings. Secure It Self Storage became that place, and I trusted them during one of the hardest times of my life. From the beginning, I communicated with them about my situation and the challenges I was facing in keeping up with payments, especially as I worked so hard to escape my abuser and try to rebuild my life. I was desperate to keep my things safe, my belongings were all I had left. In September, I fell behind on my payment, and despite having communicated my struggles with them in the past, I was immediately threatened with auction notices. Less than 30 days after missing my September 11 payment, I received a breakdown of fees that felt overwhelming. Late fees, pre-lien fees, lien fees, cut lock and inventory fees, auction fees, one after the other, adding up so quickly that it was impossible for me to catch up. On October 9, I received the devastating news that my unit was going up for auction, even though I had tried to explain my situation. The response from Secure It Self Storage was cold and indifferent. They claimed I hadn't responded to their notices, but I had already communicated with them multiple times about my struggles. Their response to my pleas? "We're sorry to hear what you're going through." But they offered no help. No options. No flexibility to give me a fighting chance to save my belongings. The fees kept piling on, making it completely out of reach for me to save my things, and by October 23, everything I owned was gone—auctioned off. Secure It Self Storage was not there for me in my time of need. They were not compassionate or willing to work with me. I lost everything, not just because of my financial struggles, but because they refused to understand or care about my situation. Their lack of support and their quickness to auction off my belongings, despite my efforts to communicate, added more devastation to an already unbearable situation. I've lost my entire life including irreplaceable family heirlooms, my dads ashes, my clothes, everything. I have the clothes on my back plus 2 pairs of clothes to change into. Words cannot describe the devastation I'm left to deal with. ... Read more

I was referred here by a family member after using many other storage facilities in Spokane and I couldn’t be happier. My first impression was the impeccable customer service I received from Carson. He was able to help me find exactly what I need and answered all my questions! I’m very happy with the security provided with this business, that I did not get at the other facilities. I know exactly where to go if I need another storage unit, Secure It Self Storage! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Secure It Self Storage - 18815 East Cataldo include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
