Me and my fiancé have been renting a small storage unit from self storage for a year now faithfully paying our bill every month. I recently had a baby and could not work. Self storage took us for all we had. We were only one month late And they charged us $100 in late fees. They did not want to work with us. I would compare working with this company To working with loansharks. Needless to say, I’m finding another company to store with. Do not store your stuff here! They do not care about their customers! ... Read more

Update. We've been customers here for 3+ years. It was good at first. Rates keep going up and conveniently they don't have any smaller units for us to change to. Today I went to pick up suitcases and they were all covered in mouse droppings. Also mouse droppings in between all of the plastic totes. Now I'm worried anything that isn't in an enclosed plastic tote is being damaged every day it's in there. $200/month and this is what we get. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 30 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by North Market Self Storage - 4415 North Market Street start from $86 and can go up to $204 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
