Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 20041 Ballinger Way NE, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Had a bad experience with this storage space.I started renting probably a week into the month, yet was charged the full price. I moved out the day of and then I came back to and tell the office that I moved out. He said just make sure it’s all clean and you’re good to go. And because I went up there, he is now charging me 200 dollars, because now it’s a late fee. He told me it will go to collections if I don’t pay. After I left I received a couple phone calls, I call him back and he was pretty adamant about me paying. It’s only the 3rd day of the month. I’m now renting with Trojan and I’ve learned that they only charge a 20 dollar late fee after 6 days, because they follow state law. It would have only been my 3rd month there at the Public Storage on Ballinger way. Please be careful. ... Read more

I recommend finding a different company as there are constant rate hikes with Public Storage. When I initially got my unit, I got a great price of about $79/month for a 5'x10' unit. A couple months later, that price went up to $109, which I could still justify. However, I just received ANOTHER rate increase notice, less that 6 months after the last one increasing the monthly amount to $146. Needless to say, I'll be canceling our account and finding another storage facility. ... Read more

My partner and I just rented a small space and the property manager, Jason, was so incredibly helpful and understanding. The property is also very quiet and clean. The prices are also very competitive in relation to the other storage units in the area. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Thank you, Jason, for making the process as smooth and easy as possible. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 20041 Ballinger Way NE include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
