Lot is open during posted hours, or when proprietors choose to be there. If they have somewhere they'd rather be during posted hours, they may ask you to leave without warning. My trailer was tampered with twice in the past 1.5 years while stored there. When I expressed concern to one of the owners, he terminated my lease on the spot, yelled at me to get out, then kept the rent I'd paid in advance for the next month. After 6.5 years of me giving them no trouble. Weird people... ... Read more

If you plan to actually use your the property you store here, go elsewhere. They close all holidays with no access for customers to retrieve their property. For those of us who work and can't get to the storage yard until the weekend, they won't accommodate access. ... Read more

Not the most appealing storage but maybe that is by design. Maybe robbers would look somewhere else to get the goods? Price is fine but chicken wire between my stuff and others isn't exactly my idea of secure. If you just have stuff that is more personal value than actual value then this place is great and location is fine. ... Read more

I tried to get some information from this company, but I was unable to do so. They don't list storage unit sizes or prices on their web site. When I called I got an answering machine that didn't even mention the name of the company. I tried to fill out the online form to get some answers but I was unable to complete it because it kept complaining about the "Date Format". I used "September 30, 2016" and "09/30/2016", with are standard date formats, but the web page complained, so I could never submit the form. This sort of screams out, "unprofessional" but I will keep trying because I hear that their rates are good, but I will have to wait and see. ... Read more

Straightforward with good old-fashioned simplicity. We had a unit for 6 months and didn't want to pay lots of $$ for state-of-the-art alarms and security systems and 24-access. We don't have tons of belongings and everything is insured. Come when they're open, put your stuff in and come back when you're ready to get it out. Simple. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Superior Self Storage - 832 NW 48th Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
