Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1699 SE Mile Hill Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I just rented a unit at the Gig Harbor location. Josh helped me with every step of the process and I can’t say enough about his sincere desire to make it as easy as possible for me. Great customer service is rare these days but much appreciated. Thank you Josh. ... Read more

Best Facility Ever! Best Manager Ever! Josh goes through everything so there are no misunderstandings or mishaps. He has glowing reviews and I can tell he will do everything in his power to keep me and all his tenants happy. Don't lose this guy, he's great! ... Read more

Josh the manager was so very helpful and attentive to my needs. We weren’t sure if we needed a space and then after our moving auction completed - we didn’t. However he was so appreciative of the opportunity and glad we had chosen his facility. We did need a wardrobe and large TV box which he has for a better price than a big box store! It was hard to enter the facility even with Google Maps. There is a new apartment complex next door and then a road just past his business… but we had to circle a few times to Realize there was a stop sign just off Mile Hill Drive which was the driveway to his storage business! Come on Kitsap County give a business a break and let them have an ‘Entrance’ sign! I highly recommend this facility for its overall location, size capacity units and superb management! ... Read more

Stop yourself from making a costly mistake and go to a privately owned storage facility. What starts out as $99 for a 5'x15' unit quickly goes up 3 months later to $128 and then at 6 months goes up to $149. To top it off they have no grace allowance to give for anything and hide behind the "corporate policy". The manager at the Port Orchard facility is very nice, until hes not. Always hiding behind the corporate shield. I'm on auto pay, never late with the payment. Have been a great tenant and needed a half day on the 1st to move out, the moving company pushed back the date by a day. They will not give me the half day without charging for the entire month. Pure garbage. Josh the manager says he will try and get it prorated but has to get permission from the "home office". I've used Public Storage before in Atlanta and purposely rented again from them. Im moving and was planning on it going to the again on the other side of the move but after this, i will only use private storage companies. They have the ability to make decisions and employ kindness in situations like mine. ... Read more

He answered all my questions, explained the details clearly, and had a great attitude the whole time. You can tell he really cares about providing phenomenal service. Thanks again, Josh — you made a stressful task way smoother! ... Read more

I live in Shelton now and I'll always store with Public Storage in Port Orchard. Things happen that's out of his control but he owns them and does all that he can..plus remembers my name. Josh and I met through darts, he runs a steel tip dart club. So., when I needed a storage unit, I went to Josh for his attention to detail and his professionalism. He took me through the options with no presser or hard sale. Josh was just as helpful when I to get a larger unit. Josh does not just promote his facility, but the entire Public Storage company. I recommend Josh and Public Storage for your storage needs. ... Read more

Josh and Anthony have been EXTREMELY helpful and easy to work with. After having a horrible experience years ago with a different storage unit, we were hesitant to use one again. These men have changed every thought we’ve had and made this such a smooth transition. They answer every single question and make you feel like family! 10/10 highly recommended!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1699 SE Mile Hill Drive include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1699 SE Mile Hill Drive start from $86 and can go up to $496 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
