Read some helpful reviews of Big Bear Storage at 21919 East Rowan Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Using storage anywhere is expensive no matter where you go. It is lucrative for owners- very little overhead & rakes in $. This place has pros & cons Pros: friendly, attentive staff. They respond quickly when you call or send email. Prices started out competitive. Unit was clean Understanding & allow Lee- way when paying. The few times I’ve been late, they give me a few days- then call to give me a chance instead of Just giving me a late fee. Cons: my unit became infested with mice due to the gaps between units. I lost close to $1,000 in items plus some that were priceless & irreplaceable. When notified, desk gal handed me 2 little mouse poison blocks, told me next door unit guy had food stored & ensured me that they had mice prevention boxes on every row. I have yet to see one. I am devastated by my losses & feel compensation or at bare minimum prevention tactics in case of future mice invasion would be nice. I barely got an apology. As I continue to sort through my items in an effort to downsize ( I have 2 units & have for several years), I continue to find more damaged items & my financial loss grows. Con: my rent has been increased 3 times in 4 years. Con: no outlets in or near units. It gets dark early for several months. Having the ability to see would be helpful. Con: short hours. Would prefer access to my unit anytime. I moved out of state & often my hours clash with their short hours. Con: cannot pay with cash Con: often, the outside lights are burned out. Overall- the people are nice & respond quickly. The units good sized & clean. But the mice problem has been very costly & emotionally upsetting & is bound to be worse as I go through my boxes. The annual rise in prices is killing me. I pay for 2 units X 12mos X 4+ years! The manager responded to my complaint quickly & thoroughly explained reason for increasing fees. I just need to down size more throw away mouse infested memories & buy a dry box of My own. With what I’ve spent in rent, i could have purchased 2 of those by now.( I have another storage where I moved to). ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Big Bear Storage - 21919 East Rowan Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Big Bear Storage - 21919 East Rowan Avenue start from $69 and can go up to $199 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
