Jason at the Mead, WA location was incredible. He cut & replaced locks & changed my gate code for me on my storage unit & trailer tongue when my keys were stolen out of my car. He helped me move my trailer to a different onsite location & gave me recommendations for various related topics. It is clear Jason likes what he does & takes personal pride in helping people. Very kind & friendly. I have been a tenant here for 3 years. 3 months later... Again Jason (muscle) was very helpful in helping me (older lady) with removing an equilizer hitch from my trailer. He also adjusted my bill within 24 hours when I realized there was an error. VERY kind. I am grateful he is the manager. ... Read more

A well-earned five-star rating!!! We have been customers for almost four years, and every visit and interaction has been positive. The facility is well-maintained, clean, and accessible. Somebody always removed the snow, and our unit was dry and secure. The facility is well-lit and secure, and we felt safe--day or night. Every interaction with staff members was positive; the staff was courteous and helpful. Communication was flawless--advanced notices went out for scheduled maintenance and procedural changes. Billing was always correct, and we never had an issue. If we need storage again, our first call will be to Storelocal Storage, Mead. Highly recommend. ... Read more

The price isn't bad and the location is decent but I thought the indoor units would be moderately climate controlled. They are not even slightly temperature controlled. All day it was colder inside than out and now I can see my breath inside. My fault for assuming but I'm almost positive I asked if they were climate controlled before I rented here and specifically didn't pick a more convenient facility due to it not being an indoor and climate controlled unit. So far that's my only complaint but for me it's a big deal. ... Read more

We decided to use KeyLock because of their location and the size of the units available. Mary, the on-site manager, made that decision the best it could have been. She has been the most courteous and thoughtful customer service representative that we have ever dealt with. Not sure about other places, but if you like nice and friendly this is the spot. Thanks Mary! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Star - 14106 North Market Street include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Star - 14106 North Market Street start from $33 and can go up to $160 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
