Very judgemental site, do not believe their claims and avoid all the sister stores named differently for a reason! UPDATE: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER BY CATRYNA! QUESTIONS AVOIDED AND EVEN COPS CALLED ON ME AS A CUSTOMER BECAUSE SHE HAD NO ANSWERS. SHE COULDNT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!! I AM LOOKONG FOR THE NUMBERS FOR CORPORATE BECAUSE THIS SHOULD NOT BE HOW PEOPLE HANDLE MY STUFF AS A CUSTOMER!!! THE COPS ROCKED AND UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS HAPPENING EVEN... THANKS TO THEM I WAS CALMED DOWN SO I COULD NEVER DO BUSY WITH THIS OLIGOPOLY OF CONFUSION! THE WOMAN EVEN CHARGED ME BUT CLAIMED SHE DID NOT UNTIL THE COPS CAME! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER MY FIRST WAS SO PLEASANT. NEVER AGAIN! FIRST VISIT:oligopoly I like the unit and Richardo was very nice while setting me up for a unit. But the communication bridge is broken. The company is owned by another in lacey. Only giving you the idea of options. The phone is automated and no one ever calls you back. An automatic textnis sent lying about getting a return call in the future. And then, curse my luck i show to pay my monthly dues .... just to time it at their lunch time.... seriously needs better communication. AND be more publically open about being owned by the same company all of them here are owned by. Never again will i choose this company and its mother company. ... Read more

I filled out a reservation on line to hold a unit for me and I received a call as soon as I clicked the button to reserve. The lady on the phone was kind curious and listened to me when I spoke. She was very friendly and helpful even made sure I was ample to review be the holiday offer even though it was so close to being expired. Lacey self storage went above be and beyond customer service she was friendly and made me feel comfortable, which is very rare these days. Beyond excellent customer service. ... Read more

Raises rent at a whim and makes service members sign a contract waiving their right to move out due to deployments. I held a 10x10 for $120/month since last summer. In January, I received a notice that my rent would increase to $190/month on March 1st. I sent an email complaining and was told, "we understand that any increase in rent is frustrating...." A 50% increase in rent is not ANY increase and it's not something you just do with a month's notice. And it's not an increase due to inflation or any improvement to my experience. It was just greed. They asked me to call them to talk about it but I don't want to give my money to greedy people who make veterans sign away their rights. Moved out today. And, by the looks of it, I wasn't the only one. Moved into another storage place in Lacey that offered my original price for the same size unit and didn't ask me to waive any rights. ... Read more

Starr at Lacey Self-Storage is an absolute rockstar. As manager, she delivers the ultimate customer service. She honestly listens and cares for her customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their storage needs are met. We've stored with her for years. We met her at College Point Storage on Yelm Hwy., and she worked to get us the right combinations of rental units for our vehicles and belongings at a great value. She's super knowledgeable and friendly, and always follows up with a smile and fantastic service. When she changed stores to Lacey Self Storage, we moved with her. She was able to locate a couple of units right next to each other for maximum convenience and provide us with key fobs to activate the security gate for ease of access. The units are secure, spacious, clean, accessible, and easily managed through the mobile app. I highly recommend Starr and Lacey Self Storage. ... Read more

This place (management) is greedy. They will raise your "rent" a lot after having being there for a few months. Our rent just went from $165 to $219 a month. That's an insane increase for only a few months of being there. Don't rent here, find a place with guaranteed rates. Also they had a real problem with homeless outside the place, and people using the loading zones as a toilet. They had to seal part of it off to try and prevent it. We've seen cops there on two separate occasions dealing with the encampments. Also they claim the units are heated but every time I visit it's just as cold inside as out. I've never seen the heater turn on. The people at the front desk are nice and helpful at least. ... Read more

The two people that was working in the office was extremely helpful when I changed storage units from a 7x10 to a 10x10. They gave us a loaner log so we could lock both units in the process of changing. Roy also found a cart for us so we could move stuff from one to the other. We were able to move the stuff from the smaller unit to the bigger unit in about 2 hours. What could have been a very difficult thing for us to do turned out to be not too bad. I would like to thank the two people working in the office for their help. Larry ?????? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Lacey Self Storage - 8345 Martin Way East include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 850 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Lacey Self Storage - 8345 Martin Way East start from $44 and can go up to $409 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
