I stored my van at People's storage for the last several years and had a great experience. Larry and Barb are great managers, they responded quickly to any request and run an organized and efficient office and facility. The prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend the Kenmore Peoples storage if you need this service. ... Read more

Best storage location I’ve been to and I’ve had a lot of units over the years! Owners are very friendly and helpful. The building is well-maintained and the units clean and reliably temperature controlled. I feel safe coming and going here by myself all the time, which counts for a lot as a solo woman moving stuff about during early mornings and dark evenings. I’m so thankful I have this option close to home to help keep me organized and my home from being overrun with all the extra stuff that life brings. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Peoples Storage-Kenmore - 6908 NE 181st Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 100 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Peoples Storage-Kenmore - 6908 NE 181st Street start from $98 and can go up to $248 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
