Been here awhile, considered leaving but hate the idea of having to relocate. I always had the worst interaction with Cathy Joe and I'm glad to see she's gone. She was an extremely rude, vial and disgusting human being, not helpful at all and made me feel as if I was beneath her as I am an African American man. My understanding she had a lot of unhappy people she came across. Anyways prices are good, place is in good shape and the staff is good to work with. Now that I have moved further from this place I have to find a new home for all my junk. ... Read more

Well I just have the worst experience on storage rentals on my life. This is a scam because the give you a price and bum two later they double up the price and I have proofs of that. And also the guy on the front desk if hi doesn't like his job , seriously man look for something else to do because his attitude is really bad. My contract supposed ends tomorrow but they just decided ends today and the things that I still have it in the unit they just decided putting away on the garbage. Man I'm really mad about all this. IF YOU ARE THINKING TO RENTAL WHIT THIS GUYS PLEASE THINKING TWICE. ... Read more
Leopoldo R. - 20 August 2025
They decided to increase the rent on the unit and not just a slight increase I went from 140$ plus a 20$ service fee a month and then all of a sudden My rent jumped to 220$ plus 20$ service fee, so essentially 160 to 240 a month! So there gimmick is get you in and then jack up the price, I wouldn’t be writing this if it wasn’t a such a significant increase, I already found a new place to rent from with the guarantee of no price increase after a few months like this place does. Other then this ridiculous price increase no complaints with service, unit, cleanliness, or security ... Read more

I rented here for two years — always paid on time, and never caused issues. There was never a signed lease, as Kathy did not ensure this step was completed an continued to harass me for their errors and despite my long-term business, I was treated with disrespect during my move-out by Kathleen. She was dismissive, gave me attitude, and flat-out told me, “you’re not paying for flatbeds,” as if my money and time here didn’t matter. The way she spoke to me felt targeted — as a Black customer, I can’t ignore how different her tone and energy were. It didn’t feel like just bad customer service; it felt personal. Kathleen clearly lacks professionalism, respect for loyal renters, and the ability to treat people equally. Overall I would not recommend they up the rent when they see fit had two increases in less than a year. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 34202 16th Avenue South include the following amenities: Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 15 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 34202 16th Avenue South start from $19 and can go up to $359 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
