I'm already loving this storage place. I made a reservation for a Tuesday to move into a unit. I paid for it but wanted to see where my unit would be so I went into the location on the Thursday before my Tuesday move in. I spoke with Ivi who was more then willing to show me the space as well as other notable things on the property. She even let me have access to my unit a few days earlier free of charge so I could get stuff moved over from my last storage. The staff is all super kind and friendly. The place is generally very clean. Bathrooms need extra attention most of the time but the fact that there are bathrooms is a plus. Love this place and highly recommend it. ... Read more

Everything started good, had everything I was looking for. Good location, inside, upstairs unit, secure with code for access to elevator, building and property. Reviews were mixed and I was hesitant but went with them regardless. After a couple months everything was great and I figured the bad reviews were petty issues. Fast forward to about a week ago, I drive 30 minutes to find a hand written note on the code machine outside the gate. It reads that both elevators are down and they are working on getting them fixed. One elevator has been down since well before I started renting and now the other one is out which means no access to upstairs units. No contact from management, no email or call informing us that we can't access our units or will not be charged for the time we don't have access. Now it's been a week and still no fix or contact. This is unacceptable. All my clothes are in my unit and I've been unable to change as I can't afford to go buy new clothes. Had they contacted us I wouldn't have now wasted three trips to my unit to continually find the same note on the building. If you can't get an elevator fixed within minimum 3 months you don't appreciate your tenants. Now that both are down and you don't openly communicate the issue you are intentionally committing fraud. You obviously don't appreciate the people who rent from you as well as don't care about their time and energy. You can't restrict access without reason and being unable to maintain your own equipment is not reason. Not only do I expect not to be charged for the time I have been unable to access my unit I expect a credit for the multiple wasted trips, gas, time, and energy just to find out I have no access. This should have been immediately acknowledged and there should have been updated communication consistently. You have given no time frame, no info, and are keeping us from our possessions illegally. Had I been made aware it wouldn't have been much of an issue but not disclosing this is a complete mishandling of the situation. In my opinion this was intentional in hopes to not have to refund the entire facility that rents outside the first floor. I will be looking elsewhere for a more honest place to store my things once I regain access. Tho it appears this won't be anytime soon. ... Read more

I think his name is Scott and I can’t remember the other gentlemen’s name they were both very kind and attentive to my needs got me my second unit very close to my other one so it’s been very convenient and easy. I think this place is pretty good for a storage place. They also took time to listen to what my needs were and accommodated them to the best of their ability. Even though i did not use the accommodation they still took the time to listen and write out my estimated total ext. so thank you very much ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. Krystal is gone. She was the only reason I continued renting here. She made it safe. Clean. She kept me as a customer because of her customer service. SHE was amazing. Read the reviews for yourself. None of the reviews about her were less than 5 stars. My unit was broken into. Within 3 hours Krystal had let me know that she had emailed her security manager over 30 minutes of footage, tracing the thief through the entire facility and to tell the police. Idk what happened but the “SECURE” part of Securespace is gone. Despite the break-ins. I’ve felt safe. No more. I’m done. Already moved out. Also…. The elevators in the annex NEVER work. (Been down, one or the other for most of the last year) The building entrance doors are off-track every time I visit, meaning there’s uncontrolled access, anyone can push open the doors and gain access. I paid for “premium access” yet have had no premium access as the elevator closest to my unit went down in May? And wasn’t repaired until late August. By then, the other elevator crapped out. Rate increases happen within 30 days of your “discount” ending. So you’re lucky if you get 1 mo of the “normal” price. My 5x5 was increased from $35 to $60 ( 80+% increase) and then again 6 mo later. They only have cameras on entrances and exits/elevators. There’s easily over 70% of the facility not covered by cameras. DONT RENT HERE…. If you actually want to keep your stuff small enough to stuff into a bag. If you must… insist on a premium unit or a unit near an exit. (Stay away from the *300’s *500’s units…as they have no camera coverage) Edit to respond to reply from business If you cared, it would be fixed. If you took things seriously…. It wouldn’t be happening. You guys are just lining your pockets. ... Read more

Avoid This Storage Facility Like the Plague! This place claims to be secure — keypads on the gate and the building. But don’t be fooled. Our unit was broken into, and we weren’t the only ones. While loading in, the guy next door told us his unit had just been hit. Ten days later, we got a call from Krystal (the only good thing about this place — she’s awesome!) saying it looked like our unit had been tampered with. When we arrived, four other people were there for the same reason. Luckily, nothing was stolen that time. Krystal fixed the door, and we re-locked it. Then came today. Our lock was gone. A barrel lock we didn’t install was on our unit. Once it was drilled off — total nightmare. Our unit had been completely ransacked. A lot of our gear is gone. And what has ownership done about it? Nothing. No added cameras. No police involvement. No real action at all. If you store your stuff here, don’t wait for a call like we got. Get it out — fast. And if you’re thinking about renting here? Run. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 8407 Broadway Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 255 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 8407 Broadway Avenue start from $36 and can go up to $383 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
