Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 316 128th Street SE, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I highly recommend you do NOT rent here. With zero notification, they just increased my monthly amount by over 43% due to “market fluctuations”. They get you to commit to a promotional price, sign the contract, and then choose to not honor that contractual amount. It’s interesting that a contract amount is honored on my mortgage payment, car payment, phone payment, etc, but not with Public Storage. Wish I could suddenly decide to pay less for my unit based on “market fluctuations”, but alas, this seems to be a one way street. I will be cancelling my unit here shortly, just not a fair way to do business (especially to a military family). Please do not be deceived like I was, there are better storage businesses in the local area to partner with. ... Read more

I was A victim of The Bait and switch Over and over. You see a price online but of your an Existing customer and need to get a bigger unit that price is false advertisement . It’s for new customers only not new units. The Discount Deal only last for so long then the rent went up then months later again . They get you to move in which is a Mission and takes all your energy and time and money, So when they increase the rent it’s a tactic knowing 99% of people stay. I moved out and now they Refuse to Refund the unused 10 days of rent but they sure do Know when to charge you over and over along with the gate always being broke or Down or broken My entire section of units had Homless camping in the woods and prior break ins since it’s only sheet metal. There was One Manager and one Employee however that went above and beyond. I only stayed because of their professional assistance and Dedication to making it safe for my belongings but I want my Pro rated Refund for services not rendered . I am lo longer there, Completly moved out and Worh a $300 rent I paid and moved out 10 days early $100 should be refunded it’s common business practice. Management knew I was moving out Months ago and The Rent increases were too much I had to draw the line . ... Read more

Why do my rates keep going up? This is ridiculous. It just went up $100 dollars a few months ago, and now again. It seems like this is discrimination of some sort. I've had rate hikes, but this is too much too fast. As it is you have a revolving door of sketchy employees some good some not so good. All you have ever had are thefts and break ins. Your cameras suck you never have an answer or a solution to the problems that occur there. What you are charging me now is not the going rate. And I think I've been targeted for theft and vandalism. I brought my trailer there with no issues everything in tact and nice. Now I have broken pryed lockes on side doors a broken window, and a tree that raines crap all over it. And now your getting close to 500 dollars a month. I will try and relocate as soon as I can. There just always seems to be a problem with your company. ... Read more

This review is for KRIS. She is a gem of a human. I rented with this co. For 5 years Kris has been the only person to ever help me and treat me as a customer rather than seeing me as another set of numbers. I will never rent with public storage again but Kris was Fantastical! ... Read more

Second Update (almost a month): the light still is not fixed. This required us to spend extra time in the dark unloading boxes and we ended up leaving the storage unit at 9:30 pm. Since this was after hours, I received a text message, email, AND phone call telling me it was a “security issue” that I was stuck there an extra 30 minutes. It is dumbfounding to get pestered by Public Storage for staying a few minutes late to unload a U-Haul when our struggles were a direct product of THEIR inability to change a lightbulb for weeks. I am sure my annoying call was a product of some company policy, but the facility should have some self awareness and fix the safety issue instead of chastising your customers on a Sunday morning. This review is deserved. Update: promptly responded to our request to address this issue. I hate to leave negative reviews, but I am hoping it will prompt action. I just got a new drive up unit and it had trash in it and a broken light. I cleaned up the trash myself but when I asked the attendant for a new bulb, I was just told, “they are hard to change, go out quickly, and need to be ordered in bulk.” I felt like an inconvenience when all I wanted is what I paid for. Lighting is necessary when moving furniture after work in the evening. I will give two stars because the external access is convenient and the unit serves its purpose during our limited daylight. ... Kris, the property manager, gave me great service, was very thorough, and very helpful. This was also the best deal that I found out of 6-8 surrounding competitors. She was also very proactive in calling me to discuss the online reservation I made which all together made my decision easy! And yes, I’m a real person. I’m not one of those robots leaving crap reviews. Thanks Kris! ... Read more

I recently used Public Storage and I am extremely pleased with my experience. The prices were great for a climate controlled, 5x10 storage unit - and the setup process was easy. I didn't need to check-in, or talk to a single person, even the first time I accessed the space. All access was done wirelessly and through their mobile app, making it very convenient. The facility was very clean and felt safe. The location was also great, as it was easily accessible and close to public transportation. The unit itself was clean and secure, and it was easy to access. I was also impressed with the security measures that Public Storage has in place. The facilities are well-lit and have security cameras, and they offer 24-hour access. They offer a great value for the price, and they have a convenient location and a wide variety of storage unit sizes and types. Scott was especially helpful on my move out day. Thank you Scott! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a convenient and secure self-storage unit. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 316 128th Street SE include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 316 128th Street SE start from $67 and can go up to $547 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
