Sherri is the property manager and she has been amazing whenever I’ve had questions and I ask a lot of questions. Lol . I don't recommend storing here. My storage unit was broken into and lots of valuables were stolen. Management was not helpful. There are multiple cameras including a couple right by my unit. There is only one gate and it requires individual codes to gain access. It should have been an easy search of the cameras and access log to catch the thief but Management was not cooperative. Management waited too long to review cameras and said camera recordings were gone. I would not trust valuables here. ... Read more

*UPDATED 8.14.24* After seeing my review the manager called and apologized and went further to offer an apology in person when I visited my unit. This review I guess didn't offer an opportunity to better future interactions for her. I had to have a friend pick up larger furniture I simply don't have a vehicle for. They were met with rudeness. They parked as I was not there yet and was approached and questioned. The manager began asking them several questions. They were clear I am not selling out of my unit or anything of the sorts. The manager asked my name to which they provided with a remark of "oh I know who that is" with nothing but disgust in her tone. I'm unsure of what we ever did. We've been nothing but friendly, always cleaned the hall after we left, even put a trash bag in the bin for her as she went on a tangent about her work frustrations. Not sure if a vacation is needed but I refuse to be treated as such. Cleaner facility, and pretty well kept up. Everything's been easy to manage so far. My only issue is the impatience. When I was comparing prices I received calls, when I was getting my payment ready after I parked not even a minute my car was approached and the entire transaction was just odd. I've never had issues when my other half is with me however this time felt very unwelcoming and purely tolerated. Other half will be handling it from now on due to this interaction. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 18 NW 29th Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 18 NW 29th Avenue start from $77 and can go up to $791 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
