Ok I’ll state the pros and cons. So good news first. They are easy to get in to, always have availability, even at a last minute find and will work with you to extend your payment if needed. Now the cons. If you want your stuff to be secured and safe, this isn’t the place to be. I had a storage unit for 3-4 months. I tried contacting them to let them know I would be getting my belongings out as of the 1st by end of day. As I opened my storage I realized I was missing a couple boxes, and my brand new carpet cleaner I received as a Christmas gift that was unopened and sitting on top of the boxes as soon as you open the storage door was missing. I relooked at the lock and there was no indications of it broken. I have contacted the office many times, left several messsges and received no call backs at all. Every time I have came by to speak in person the office is always closed. I tried pulling the app back up on the phone with my log in info as I did have the insurance on it and now it’s saying I have no access. This happened in March snd still haven’t been in contacted back. Yes it’s minor but that was a gift that I really enjoyed. I also noticed several boxes went and items inside got damaged. So if you can go elsewhere do so. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ... Read more

Stay away unless you like being scammed. First off, from day 1 they didnt give me what was advertised, which would be a DRY LIGHTED unit. On the first day I reported that the roof was leaking and the lights didn't work. I reported these several times, and eventually had to go over the head of the lazy guy in the office, all he ever does is shrug his shoulders and say it's not his job. When I signed up for a parking unit, I was instantly locked out of my main unit code and the app stopped working, saying I wasn't allowed to enter the property. No one cared or even tried to fix my codes. So that's 3 contractual violations by the company. Contacting his boss got a bandaid put on the roof. Lo and behold, my roof started leaking again and I didn't find out until I started moving out and all my stuff under the leak is now moldy. 8 months there, they NEVER fixed the lights, and didn't fix the roof. Then there's the pest problem, not just spiders and mice due to the doors not sealing shut, but also the transients living on site. I've caught several people living on site, messing with my car and other cars there, trying to get into other units, and then there's people running their businesses out of there in violation of their contracts. You have to be careful where you walk. There's moss all over the place, its extremely slippery, luckily for them I didnt break anything when I slipped on it. Then there's the beach balls size pothole in the middle of the road that they decided to just put big rocks in as a fix, and if your car is low at all, you will lose your oil pan. If you don't like security, don't stay here. They claim 24 hour on site managers, but in the every day for the last 3 weeks I spent moving out, I saw someone on site once! If you get a small interior unit, just know they are secured with hollow core closet doors, you can lean against them and break through, not secure at all. Overall, this place is a joke with zero management, zero security, zero upkeep. They are literally milking it for passive income without investing a single penny into it. Go literally anywhere else. ... Read more

More Than Just a Storage Manager—Jason’s a Hidden Gem!” If you ever find yourself needing storage, do yourself a favor and head over to Public Storage where Jason is the man in charge. At first glance, you might think he’s just your average, soft-spoken guy. But have a chat with him, and you’ll quickly realize there’s a lot more to this guy. Jason is one of those rare people who are kind, gentle, and genuinely caring. He keeps the place spotless, comfortable, and on point, with everything running smoothly. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3127 Smokey Point Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3127 Smokey Point Drive start from $100 and can go up to $275 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
