I just moved out of our storage unit to move our business into a brick and mortar. Both of our units have been clean and well lit. I’ve had no issues with gaining access during gate hours, or with the physical unit. Felicia who I think maybe the only employee (she’s always on site and answers the phone) has been absolutely amazing. There were a few hiccups with the operations, the extreme jump in monthly charges (ex. from 195 to $255 in a month) and a weird call I received from some random guy who said he worked with Public storage yesterday threatening to charge us for “move out” fees because we left 2 items behind (yet we still have a week left in our contract and had not yet asked to complete the close out process) but of course Felicia called today to confirm she mitigated the concern and there was no issue. ... Worst people to do business with. They doubled the rent in less than one year, despite the fact that they insisted they won’t increase their prices if I stay long term. Even if they did, they would do it after or close to a year down the road. And the increase would be no more than 15-20%. Well, they increased the rent from $199 to $375 within a year. Good luck calling them and speaking with a person. Left a few voicemails, when my code wasn’t working. No one called back. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 13887 Smoketown Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 13887 Smoketown Road start from $28 and can go up to $365 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
